Welcome to NRRI Knowledge Communities

scott hemplingDear Colleagues,

Effective regulation requires objective, fact-based support from objective, fact-based experts. NRRI's mission is to fulfill that need: By creating new knowledge and democratizing existing knowledge, we seek to empower utility regulators to make public interest decisions of the highest possible quality.

The NRRI Knowledge Communities support that mission by attracting and supporting a continuously expanding network of expert contributors.

This site is a community of communities. A "community" centers around one of three things:

a specific issue challenge (e.g., What rate designs best support sustainability?)

a profession or regulatory role (e.g., economists, General Counsels, Commission Chairs)

background on a specific industry (electricity, gas, telecommunications, water, multi-utility)

As individuals we are scattered; as a community we are unified — by the mission of effective regulation. I hope NRRI's Knowledge Communities enhance your effectiveness. Suggestions, criticisms, and offers to volunteer are welcome. Please contact me at shempling@nrri.org.
